“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” -Elliot Erwitt
I am so grateful for the joy I see and feel in our lives daily. Children are easily happy and live for the moment – they get so excited, dance, sing, hum and say what they mean.
I am joining a group of talented ladies to document the happenings of a day in our life. Project 10 essentially involves taking 10 photos on the 10th of each month — roughly one photo an hour, for the duration of the day, no matter how mundane. I don’t want to look back in 20 years and only remember the key moments. So without further ado, here is my second entry. July 4th was a lazy day for us, and a picture perfect day. We decided to stay away from the crowds, went biking and then drove to the coast. The girls absolutely love the beach; it’s amazing what a little sunshine and sand does to children. After a nice dinner and drive home, we lucked out viewing some fireworks from our house as the evening drew to an end. Sometimes with kids, simple is best.
